Computer Literacy Project Management
Global Center for Cultural Entrepreneurship for with federal funding from Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). BTOP increases statewide broadband adoption and promotes computer literacy and Internet use in rural, Hispanic, and Native American populations in order to better prepare the state’s citizens to participate in economic development and educational opportunities.
Project Management & Outreach – We oversaw outreach, promotion, and implementation of Spanish-language computer literacy classes with underserved communities in Albuquerque. This is a project we did with La Comunidad Habla, a Spanish-speaking women’s health communication and community engagement group that Sara Nelson, Principal Consultant, formed and has facilitated since 2002. Our work included reviewing curricula, coordinating and supervising a team of facilitators, organizing recruitment for classes and events, and collaborating/coordinating with local organizations to host local classes.
