— Recruiting and Facilitating Discussion with Farmworkers in Southern New Mexico —

We conducted one focus group and two interviews in Spanish with farmworkers for a contract where we’re assessing health education materials. This was done in Anthony, New Mexico, a small town close to El Paso, Texas. Our host was the Women’s Intercultural Center (http://www.womensinterculturalcenter.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=99&Itemid=57).

When we conduct focus groups and interviews, we commonly also:

1) Recruit

2) Handle all logistics

3) Develop a focus group guide

4) Translate and transcribe the focus groups and interviews

5) Write a final report
